AI assistant: usage and benefits AI assistant

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions organisations ask most often before introducing an AI assistant.

How long does it take to go live?

The assistant can be live within one week: we choose the content, build the knowledge base, test it on sample questions and show it on a demo page.

What does the assistant answer from? Does it make things up?

Only from content you approve (web pages, documents, guidelines). When the knowledge base has no answer, it says so and points the user to a contact – it does not make things up.

Which languages does it answer in?

More than 150 languages – including Slovenian, English, German, Italian and Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. It answers in the language of the question from the same knowledge base.

Where does the assistant run?

In the cloud (AWS) or on your organisation's infrastructure. On-premise, it uses language models on a BYOK basis (your own API key); OpenAI and Anthropic are supported.

Is the assistant compliant with the AI Act?

Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 requires that people are informed they are interacting with an AI system unless this is obvious; the obligation applies from 2 August 2026. We clearly label the assistant on your site as an AI assistant and agree the wording of the notice with you. Text of the regulation on EUR-Lex (opens in a new tab)

How are conversations logged?

All conversations are logged and archived for 12 weeks, which enables quality control and traceability.

What about GDPR?

The approach is based on data minimisation; roles (controller, processor) and the contract are agreed with each client. We do not put personal data into the knowledge base.

Can the assistant capture leads or book meetings?

Yes. The assistant can collect a visitor's enquiry and contact details or offer a meeting slot.

Does it work by phone or on Viber?

Yes. Besides website chat, the assistant can answer by voice and on Viber.

How much does a pilot cost?

Pilot terms – scope, duration and price – are agreed individually, based on the content and channels you want to include.

Are the demos on ccbot.eu official sites of those organisations?

No. The demos are DEMO illustrations with fictitious data and are not official services of the organisations shown.
